My trouble is that when I put the throttle at 2400 rpms, as I'm going along it creeps down to 1600 rpms or less. If I push the throttle back up to 2400, it'll go up but will not stay there. Must be some adjustment in the throttle handle somewhere that would allow me to tighten it up so that it will hold in the original position.
My second problem is that if I push the throttle all the way up, it causes the engine to over-rev. Again, there must be some way of adjusting that so that the engine will not over-rev. I do not see a dead stop.
I give my young grandson tractor rides occasionally, and he tends to push the throttle up quickly to go faster, instead of inching it up. This causes it to redline.
