I have made 3 sets of forks.
First was just a couple of 2x2 square steel tubes a little over 4' long. 2 Bolts and they are on. Good for long, fairly light loads.
Next was a set of little short forks, mostly used for loading brush and that sort of thing.
Last was what I call my "Real Forks", quick on or off. They have been used for lifting almost 2,000 Lb, digging out rock, loading dumpsters, & just about everything forks can be used for.
Real forks were a little more work, but well worth the effort. At one time they even had a nice paint job.
