How to add forks???

I would drop by the forklift place and purchase a used carriage, and weld brackets on the back of it for your lift arms. Both the the carriage and forks cost about $180.

THAT'S what I was thinking about, but these are not that easily found and not that cheap around here. I have forks, I just need the carriage.
The fellow I bought these from had a buch of junk lying around....maybe I'll go see what he has I could use.

One of the guys on TBN built his carriage from scratch, just don't remember the post, I will try and find the picture of it.

Rich The frame sits in the edge of bucket with 2 1/2 droped throught bolts on the edge of bucket. 2 side rails on the side keep it up right. There is about 500lbs on the forks of this pic, that would be the Max I would ever put on them. (see pic)

This is how I attach mine. This is on old pic before paint. The forks will slide on the rod. The bottom of the fork rests against the front lip of the bucket (not in the bucket). I was concerned with creating too much weight to improve my useful lifting load.

I just saw my neighbor's set up yesterday and it looked like a good way to do it without having to remove the forks when you aren't using them. He had them mounted on the top of the bucket, so they were vertical when the bucket was flat on the ground. In order to use the forks, he raises the bucket a little and tilts it so the opening on the bucket is facing the ground, which puts the forks flat on the ground.

I don't know if this is a good way to do it or what the drawbacks might be, but it looked good to me. :)

Richamor,

If you can weld or have a welder close by, then check out this on ebay:

TOP BOTTOM PALLET FORKS BAR kubota attachment fork | eBay

If the link doesn't work, look for ATVxpress store = eBay Stores > ATVxpress > All Categories, search for TOP BOTTOM PALLET FORKS BAR.

They are $129, this is exactly what you need. Shipping is FREE!!! Doesn't get better than that!!!

Good luck!

The limited use of my BX25 has shown that there are times I could use a set of forks on the front. So, I found a set of forklift forks local for 75 bucks.

The only problem is I'm not sure of the best way to mount them on the bucket.

Any suggestions? I'm not looking for a permanent addition and I'd like something easily on/off.

Sometimes the "build it yourself" option just might not be the best approach. Look at the forks from BXpanded Easy, quick, proven product designed for the BX. They work great. Lots of guys here have them.
