Hi
This is going to sound a bit odd but,
What I have is a bent Bobcat attachment plate that I have straightend.
To keep it from bending again I am going to try welding a couple of pcs. of 8" x 1/4" channel on.
If I weld the legs to the flat plate how strong is that going to be ?
I was wanting to use 4" x 1/4" square tube but cannot find any used cheap. That would have been as strong as I need, I think.
Thanks

I think you may be missing a dimension on the angle iron. Are the pieces 8" long by 1/4" thick? What is the width of the angle iron?

Channel, not angle.

My mistake. If 8" wide channel and 1/4" thick this would be standard grade not structural grade. It would add strength to the flat bar more than double the flat bar alone.
