How much tractor do I need

Yes, we also did a lot of farming with 2WD tractors and combines, but we also left some stuff in the field due to muddy ground. After a couple of really bad years, the transition to 4WD began and now you will have to really look for a 2WD in the fields around here and these guys are not amateurs.

Not only do the 4WD gets the crops out when the 2WD were stuck, the 4WD do not rut the fields as badly. Now in some areas with different soil composition, 2WD work fine.

I don't believe that one design or the other is always better than the other for everything. We use both, but on different properties.

I agree and still have both a 2wd, gear with R1 tires and 4wd,hydro with R4 tires, need to keep them both to participate in some of the stupid debates on the forum.

I wouldn't let either type lead to a self fulfulling prophecy.
