I had an interesting conversation with a gentleman on my road today. He has a 455 JD tractor with 250 or so hours on it. I am extremely picky and can honestly say it looks BRAND new. Just making conversation I mentioned to him that I liked his tractor and if he ever though about selling it I would appreciate him keeping me in mind. He than said his wife had wanted him to look at a ZTR mower for their yard as it is fairly large and a ZTR would cut his mowing time some. Interestingly my dad has a 757 ZTR with 30 hours on it. It is in great shape. I mentioned perhaps a trade out would be worth considering. He said he would seriously consider this and would get back with me. I would like the group's opinion about the relative value of these two machines for the purpose of information in case the gentleman wished to trade or sell. I should note he has a three point hitch, front snow blade and tiller for his tractor also, but indicated he might not have to sell the tiller to make a deal. Thanks.
