Bobcat modified a skidsteer to a tracked design (not the track over wheel conversion) The big one is a T300. Anyway, a magazine reviewed it and said that the track will outlast a premium set of tires on a regular skidsteer but the track replacement was $3500! I hear that those tires don't wear so well on a regular one so outlasting them may not be much comfort.

I had an Oliver OC-3 with a 68" tread width. It didn't tip over, but sure would slide down the hills real fast when you got on a pole lying in the leaves. Of course I could have cured that by bolting on pieces of tires cut to fit the track segments. But when the rod came through the block, I gave up amateur bull-dozing. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
