How Many Years?

Since there are a zillion little parts and many main assemblies, how many years does Kubota commit to guarantee parts/assemblies availability? Is that in writing or just a consensus?

No idea on my M6040. I had my previous tractor, Ford 1700, for 28 years and had no problems at all getting parts from the dealer.

Can't answer the question...but based on buying parts for an older machine 25+ years old...it seems like they update a lot of different parts...i.e., the original part# is not available but the new part (different #) will fit...some parts are upgraded several times yet they still fit the older models...so they must engineer the newer machines to use similar parts as much as possible...just speculating...?

What I have seen both with Kubota and JD is that optional features, parts-kits are the first to be (no longer available, or NA) I have seen this with machines less than 2 years old.

I am still able get 30 years parts,some parts have to wait time.

I have worked on farm equipment since I was a kid. I remember as I grew up, the older machines would get, the more the part numbers and availability would change. It is way easier now, then when I was 16 years old. I remember they couldn't wait for me to get my driver's license so they could send me out to get/order parts from the parts counters of local dealers. I remember a few days, I must have spend my entire day at random parts counters, being sent all over the place. Now the owner can just look it up on their smartphone/tablet and get what they are looking for in minutes.

I ordered parts for a 30+ year old Kubota F-2000 mower and had all of them within a week. Clutch, starter and misc items like mower deck lift handle and a new key switch.

Well, based on most of the responses, it looks like my Kubota parts will be around longer than my parts.
