I never seam to get ahead, I finished 1 project this evening and started two more. Actually I finished one of the two I started as well. It would be quite discouraging to list all the projects I have going but I just keep bulling ahead.

I finished turning some new pins for my backhoe bucket, I ordered the stock 2weeks ago and I am just getting to it.

While getting to the bucket I brushed a chain off the top of my winch which reminded me I have a tough time moving it unless its on the tractor, so I made a fork pocket on top so I can pick it up with 1 fork and move it without a chain.

While I was doing that my father came in and was complaining about moving trailers around the yard and wanted a trailer ball on the bucket, after a little discussion he decided he wanted a reciever hitch that slips over the forks for better visability and the fact that we have trailers with 4 different hitch's. Got that one about 1/2 finished, hitch is done and 1 fork pocket is done.

It just never ends for me, how about you guys (and gals)?

Hmmm... too many to list. My problem is that I start on a project, and in the midst of project 1, find that I need a new tool to finish, so begins project 2, which needs some jig made, so there's project 3, etc. By the time I get the sub-projects done, project 1 is no longer needed, or I've forgotten what it was, or another project has taken its place atop the list of things to do. Anyway, it's an endless cycle. I guess it keeps me out of trouble.

... most of the time.

I know how you guys feel 'coz I was in the same boat but I came to a life changing decision a few years ago.

Instead of busting my buns, continually moving from one project to the next and trying to keep up with the recurring jobs like mowing, spraying etc., I decided that I would do what I can do and if I don't get it completed according to my self imposed timetable, ah well, there's always tomorrow. Three straight days of rain doesn't have me stewing about how far I'm falling behind and what I need to do to catch up. When the rain stops, I go back to work where I left off and just carry on. It'll all get done when I get round to it. I don't worry about it anymore. If I want to take the day off and go fishing or go to the gun club and burn up some ammo, that's exactly what I do. Don't get me wrong, I'm still always behind but that's just a fact of life and I don't think I'm any further behind than I was when I was rushing around all the time. Life is a lot more pleasant and the place hasn't suffered in the slightest as far as I can see.

So, ease up a little. Life isn't supposed to be a grind. Do what you can do and enjoy it.

So ends my sermon for today. We'll be coming around in a minute to take up the collection.
