How Many of You Change Coolant?

/ How Many of You Change Coolant? #21
I have a friend in the anti-freeze recycling business. Turns out the anti-freeze really never goes bad. It can get dirty and the additives can wear out, but the anti-freeze itself is OK.

So I did some research and found a product called RMI-125 Cooling Sysytem Treatment. It is used by many truck shops. I add it every other year, (they recommend every 300 hours), or so and keep a check on the condition of the anti freeze to make sure it is not dirty. It has many benefits.

In all the years I have been doing this, (not sure how many, but 10 for sure), I have yet to need to change the anti-freeze. It is still clean and I have yet to see any ill effects of any kind. I use it in all my vehicles which include tractors, diesel pickup, dozer, diesel motorhome, cars, motorcycles, and ATV's.

The best thing is it cleans your cooling system and any scale etc ends up floating on the top in the coolant recovery tank. All you have to do is skim it off the top every once in a while. The radiators are spotless when I pull the cap and look in them. I tried a bottle the first year and was so impressed that I bought a case of the stuff. Works for me.
