One to state, you must have a bulb of "maximum brightness" and then post endless rebuttals in the same thread defending ones own "maximum brightness" theories.

( I use a lot of bulbs. Where can I buy an attachment to change my bulbs? Either a 3pt or FEL (skid steer mount) will do. )

You definitely want to go with a pto-driven bulb changer. It takes a lot of hp to run one of those babies with hydraulics.

You can pick up a cheap chinese bulb changer at any Homier roadshow, but I'd advise against it. I just don't think the quality is there. Bulb changers aren't as simple as back blades or carry-alls; if the welds aren't true or it's a little off center, you'll never get those bulbs lined up with the sockets. Worst case scenario... the bulb-holding thingy won't be machined properly and the bulbs will fall right through. You get what you pay for with bulb changers, I'd go back to the dealer who sold you your tractor and get the factory-matched unit, preferably subframe mounted. Some of those bulbs can be a bear to loosen, and we've all heard stories of 3-pt hitch mounted bulb changers breaking the rear housing on a tractor from the torque.

Now, Bob Skurka might jump in and say that those little compact tractor bulb changers aren't worth the investment, and that you'd be better off by renting an industrial bulb changer once or twice a year. That's definitely something to think about, but if you're changing bulbs on a regular basis, you'd probably want to buy your own.

My bulbs are smarter than your bulbs. In other words your bulbs aren't too bright, I think they might be dim-witted.

Sounds like my house. Except we keep the incubator in the 'bird room'. where the wife raises finch, cockatial, and parakeets.

Yep.. heat lamps.. easy bake ovens.. etc.

The only thing that's important is that you choose your bulb dealer wisely.

Vin, I haven't heard the word "globe" used in that context in 25 years. Thank you, it brought back some good memories. It's amazing what you forget until triggered by a word or casual phrase.

In answer to your question, I've never seem a domestic light bulb in the U.S. that wasn't 110 volt, screw type. I have seem some special application 240 volt bulbs but I've never seen a bayonet fitting. I may be wrong but that may be a strictly Anglo thing. )

I've never seen a bayonet fitting

Some vacum cleaners and other small appliances use 110 Volt bayonet bulbs and sockets.

Lets not forget the bulb modifiers / customizers who increase bulb output and production, at a fraction of the cost of the other bulb! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

How many, actually one, if you use the Kubota 5030HTSC with bubblegum on the 3 point hitch. See Attachment.

The light bulb has been changed is this the end of the thread....

........for some reason I think not.
