Installed a Red Rock Cat 1 quick hitch on my Kioti CK2610 last week, and it's riding really low. Is that normal?

Is there any reason why I should not use the other holes on the 3 pt hitch arms and use the turn buckles to prevent it from going so low?

It's the same height as your 3pt lift eyes.

What's the harm if it goes so low? Worse it it doesn't go high enough.

A friend once bought a Iseki tractor that had nothing left of it's lift arm balls from dragging on the ground! Now, that's too low.

I like my QH to go low. Then if I set something down and it settles I don't have a problem getting under it.

Now, as mentioned, if your 3pt won't go high enough to suit you then change the link settings to get more height. Understand you'll lose the bottom end in the process.

Short answer. Yes that's normal.

HUH?... Have not heard that as to be a problem...... The lower it is the easier it is to connect with some implements...

My only problem with it being to low is when I have ballast weight on, and usually ignoring it (ballast) as I concentrate on FEL work and 3PH creep down and ballast weigh ends up dragging.... Check Chains (Stay Chains?) solved that problem...

Yes, that was my concern. Forgetting about it and dragging it through the mud. I understand it pays to get quite low for some implements, but this is overkill for everything I have. By about 6 inches.

Riding low is just fine for connecting to implements, just be sure you can raise it 10" to 15" after making the connection.
