How long will a 10 KW generatoer run on a good new battery??

Here is my solution. Get good automatic charger (one that switches to tricle) when the battery is fully charged and then run a cable from the house to the charger. Just make sure that it is on a circuit that is also powered up when the geny is running. That way the charger is powered either from the grid or from the geny. It should be prety simple to do.

I hooked up my CTEK 3300 charger just that way today. Hope that works, and can't see why it wouldn't.

So im going to assume 1 of 2 things
1) the genny is hard mounted at which point i would put wire a grid power reciptical in the generator encloseure and use a HF (or simular) float charger. (i really dont care that the float charger wont work when the grid power is off)
2) the genny is not hard mounted and stored in some garage/shed location at which point i would do the same as 1) just remember to unplug it before you roll the genny out of the garage/shed.

something like that. got to have the battery up. when it's running.. it can charge itself if you give it a way to do so. ie.. regualted charger on a recep.
