Being retired is a blessing for me in this situation, now that warmer weather is here I have been clearing brush out in my wooded acreage.
My wife just came in from walking the dogs, the next door neighbor, who was a mechanic for a car dealer, stopped her saying his boss let him go.
For people like that, those ill, and the good of the country, I hope it's over soon.

Just don't go bowling twice/wk and don't go to the extension office once/wk. Sunday service is shorter by Youtube.

My beaver can't go to the gym; so, she's working on downed trees and invasives. Bought her a new Stihl battery saw after she wore out her 2nd Kobalt. She works down in the forest on the back slope about 6 hours or more each day. I get down there when I can and work 1 1/2 hour in morning and 1 1/2 hour in afternoon chipping up autumn olives, vines and limbs. That 1 1/2 hours is all I can last with my ICD doing my heart ticking for me.

All of my projects need supplies... I am not inclined to go to town right now.. so projects sit. Middle daughter told me they were getting a couple pex manifolds, price online was $60 more than in store... she dropped by and got them in store... I asked her to pick one up for me... the same one they got is what I was wanting.. so it saved me $60 also..

Went to cut/trim a bush/tree near the mailbox only to find out battery was bad for Ryobi sawzall... tried reviving it, but no go... so ordered a new one from Amazon.. we will be more careful not to let it drain down too far... although it was on the intelligent charger and should have been fine..

I have plenty of supplies as I live in earthquake territory so being well-stocked has always been a priority of mine.

I was talking with the wife today and don't how people who live in tiny apartments are handling it. I would go out of my mind.

I have a well with a generator if needed so I'm good with water.

When I feel cooped up I jump on a piece of equipment and we all know what life is like on a tractor. Put on some great tunes on the radio, turn up the
A/C and do tractor stuff till you get tired. Then go home and sleep like a baby.

Never have to see another human for a while.

Not much changed with me. Being retired, I stayed home most of the time, only visit my next door neighbor to play cards. Go to grocery store about every 10-14 days (same now). I have taken up a new hobby, making knives. I have some scrap plate that seems to work well. So far I have made 4 hunting knives and a hatchet. I am working on some steak knives for my neighbor.
Other activities have been placing marble flooring in my shop bathroom and helping my 87 year old widowed neighbor tear down and clean up several sheds. I have salvaged lots of the lumber and made shelves for my tractor storage area. Been trying to organize my scrap lumber and steel. Still go a bit to go.

The best thing is that all this work and staying at home (no eating out) has got my diabetes well under control, blood glucose level 75-120 in the morning and around 95 or less at lunch. I have even been able to cut back 10 units on my insulin and lost about 10 pounds so far.

2 of my relatives have it. One was in hospital for a couple days and is now getting better. Took 12 days for test results. By all likely hood they contacted it the beginning of march, had it several days before they could get tested. The problem is you get it and don’t know it for a week or more, and then spread it unaware, before you get symptoms.
This checking temperatures is a joke, by the time that shows up you’ve spread it for a week.

Self-Isolation Diary
I'm happy to share.
“My Self-Isolation Quarantine Diary"

Day 1 – I Can Do This!! Got enough food and wine to last a month!
Day 2 – Opening my 8th bottle of Wine. I fear wine supplies might not last!
Day 3 – Strawberries: Some have 210 seeds, some have 235 seeds. Who Knew??
Day 4 – 8:00pm. Removed my Day Pajamas and put on my Night Pajamas.
Day 5 – Today, I tried to make Hand Sanitizer. It came out as Jello Shots!!
Day 6 – I get to take the Garbage out. I’m So excited, I can’t decide what to wear.
Day 7 – Laughing way too much at my own jokes!!
Day 8 – Went to a new restaurant called “The Kitchen”. You have to gather all the ingredients and make your own meal. I have No clue how this place is still in business.
Day 9 – I put liquor bottles in every room. Tonight, I’m getting all dressed up and going Bar hopping.
Day 10 – Struck up a conversation with a Spider today. Seems nice. He’s a Web Designer.
Day 11 – Isolation is hard. I swear my fridge just said, “What the **** do you want now?”
Day 12 – I realized why dogs get so excited about something moving outside, going for walks or car rides. I think I just barked at a squirrel.
Day 13 – If you keep a glass of wine in each hand, you can’t accidently touch your face.
Day 14 – Watched the birds fight over a worm. The Cardinals lead the Blue Jays 3–1.
Day 15 – Anybody else feel like they’ve cooked dinner about 395 times this month?””
