The last two days have been spent moving mountains of snow and I froze my rump! Even being "dressed" for the weather! Saturday morning (-15 C) I moved 2' of snow from my driveway (200' plus long and several large parking areas) I also did the driveways of atleast five other neighbours! I was on the tractor for 6 hours! I find the bucket and box blade are doing a reasonable job but take too long. Sunday evening I had to repeat the process because we received another foot of snow during the day.

I wish I had...
1- A cab with heat
2- A rear mounted 6' snow blower
3- A front mounted 7' angling snow blade
4- Chains (atleast on the front)
5- My worklight project finished....

What do you wish you had?

Heated cab sounds great.
More snow =are you nurts?

Quite possibly.

Snow = tractor opportunity.

No snow = tractor just sits in garage taking up space.

Since this was our first real snow storm of the season, it was kind of fun to be using the new snow blower to clean up.

However, I know that will wear off in time - like a couple more months, then it will be time to switch from snow blower to BH and get back to digging stuff. :D

The paved driveway is nice and for the most part it is reasonably sheltered from bitter winds - except near the end when no matter what direction I aim the chute, the net result is snow flying everywhere and mostly landing on me.

I also clear paths around the house to maintain access to the propane and oil fill tubes.

However, going from pavement to ground means that I need to adjust the skid pads. That means getting a wrench and socket to loosen 4 bolts, but I'm thinking that I can modify the current slot setup to a 2 or 3 fixed positions and then use a pin and spring clip instead of nut and bolt.

If only I had a welder....

Snow is very rare around here, and when it does happen, it's something to get excited about. While I don't want to live where it snows, and reading all of the posts on snow removal confirms this for me all the time, I do wish it would snow hear just a little more often.

As to what I wish for, a cab with AC is very high on my list!!!!!

Im still counting on hitting the lottery so I can get any tractor I wanted! In the meantime I guess I wish I had an already rebuilt Perkins 3cyl gas on hand to slap in my 135. Oh well, I guess its more time and money instead! lol Merry Christmas everyone.

A heated cab with a MF front mount snowblower!! The ATV cover from Royal Distributing does work well. Keeping dry and sheltered is half the battle.

Just trying to be thorough!

Since I posted this, I went to a Christmas party at my wife's work and was talking to one of her co-workers and happened to mention the snowblower issue....Guess What? He has a 6' blower that requires a little bit of work that I can have for free!!!!:) The bad news is it is frozen in the ground and I probably won't be able to pick it up until spring:mad:

I think I might go out to his place and see for myself just how bad it is frozen in....maybe I can get it free with some bars, jacks and possibly even a small fire to keep us warm and melt snowthat we could pour over the sucken parts to help remove the frost! I have a plan... just need the Holidays to be over first.

Merry Christmas everybody!!!

Free! That's my favorite word, looks like it really is Christmas for you!
My wish would be a heated and AC cab with a snow blower and the in floor heat hooked up in my garage.
