How good/bad is the Frontier/JD SB1174P inverted blower?

The loss of power is very noticeable. What part am I missing from direct experience using both with equal horsepower ratings at the shaft needs explanation?

Twice the cost removed 4x the frustration of going really slow removing snow. Buy once cry once always works fine for me.

In any event, I bought the new 74'' blower on Tuesday and got it home. All we need now is some snow.
