- ‘67 MF 135 Deluxe / ‘22 Kioti CK2610 HST/Bad Boy ZT Elite 54”
I bought me a new toy… Kioti CK2610 HST… recently, I stopped by the dealer to pick up a couple special order items for the tractor… while I was there I also asked for a gallon of hydraulic fluid to keep the various systems topped off…
They sold me a gallon of CARQUEST 760-01 tractor fluid…
Reading the back label (which is absolutely void of ANY helpful information) I see various manufactures listed (Kioti not among them)…
off to Google… if it’s on the internet it’s GOT to be true… no?
Regardless… checking specs on Mobilfluid 424 (which Kioti specs in the owners manual) it has a viscosity rating of 137… CARQUEST lists a 140 rating… good? (hydraulic fluid is also used in my front axle)
My real question is: the CARQUEST label lists Kubota UDT as a cross reference for its fluid, Mobilfluid also references the UDT… can I therefore assume the chain Mobilfluid-UDT-CARQUEST means topping off with any of the three is okay?
My long-term plan is to replace all the fluids at the 50 hour mark(engine oil, HST fluid and front axle) with a known quality oil… (Rotella for the engine and JD HyGard for everything else)
Don‘t read all the above the wrong way… seems I have a great local dealer… they just celebrated their 75th year in business, so they must be doing something right… I was just rather surprised to see him hand me a CARQUEST container…
