‘67 MF 135 Deluxe / ‘22 Kioti CK2610 HST/Bad Boy ZT Elite 54”
I bought me a new toy… Kioti CK2610 HST… recently, I stopped by the dealer to pick up a couple special order items for the tractor… while I was there I also asked for a gallon of hydraulic fluid to keep the various systems topped off…

They sold me a gallon of CARQUEST 760-01 tractor fluid…

Reading the back label (which is absolutely void of ANY helpful information) I see various manufactures listed (Kioti not among them)…

off to Google… if it’s on the internet it’s GOT to be true… no?

Regardless… checking specs on Mobilfluid 424 (which Kioti specs in the owners manual) it has a viscosity rating of 137… CARQUEST lists a 140 rating… good? (hydraulic fluid is also used in my front axle)

My real question is: the CARQUEST label lists Kubota UDT as a cross reference for its fluid, Mobilfluid also references the UDT… can I therefore assume the chain Mobilfluid-UDT-CARQUEST means topping off with any of the three is okay?

My long-term plan is to replace all the fluids at the 50 hour mark(engine oil, HST fluid and front axle) with a known quality oil… (Rotella for the engine and JD HyGard for everything else)

Don‘t read all the above the wrong way… seems I have a great local dealer… they just celebrated their 75th year in business, so they must be doing something right… I was just rather surprised to see him hand me a CARQUEST container…

Top off with the same oil as a best practice.
In the real world it is not always practical.

That being said, I have used oils from different labels to top off equipment for over 50 years in indutrial and agricultural settings with no problems.

The carquest hydraulic oil you mention above is manufactured in the same facility as other labels.
For one it has the same spec as Mahindra Universal Hydraulic oil and the same verbage is on the label of the Mahindra oil and the Carquest oil. This leads me to believe they are either made at the same facility or just by "coincidence" are the exact same specification.

Edit: I use the Carquest oil in my tractor and know several Mahindra tractor dealers that sell it.

I know your pain - S854. Trying to find products that give sufficient info so that you can cross reference - can be like finding that needle in a haystack. And then wondering if the cross referenced product is really good enough. Heartburn!!!

I used Kubota branded oils during the warranty period on my Kubota. Now I'm off warranty and I use Shell Rotella oils.

They meet the needs of my 2009 Kubota M6040 - same price as the Kubota branded oils - available at the local NAPA store. Saves a 50 mile round trip to the Kubota dealer in Spokane.
