I has not been warm enough out here for my tomato plants to do much of anything yet.
Makes three of us. On another note I planted pinto beans for the first time. Gotta figure out how to know when to pick them.
We always have a thousand unripe tomatoes when frost hits.
My mother used them to make green tomato relish... :licking: anything else to me still tastes too sweet.A thousand is a lot of green tomatoes. I have dozens (maybe a hundred) and I just pick them when there is no hope for them to ripen outside and let them ripen in the house. My mom used to put them in brown paper bags and close the top and ripen them in there. Cool climate gardening tricks
That brings back memories and sounds GOOD!My mother used them to make green tomato relish... :licking: anything else to me still tastes too sweet.
Sorry. Yes, it was more like dozens. Many dozens.
I feel bad that I put them out of the warm house into the cold and wind.
