Let's see...
There's the pick it up with the grapple method which works good for one at a time like large rocks. But slow for a bunch of smaller ones. IMG_0408.JPG
The load em by hand method which kinda sucks I think.IMG_0406.JPG

I've tried using a 3 point scoop bucket and backing under them.
I've drug them with a chain. This will make the missus mad when done across her yard!

Currently working on a solution with a wizard with a magic stick name of Harry Potter that says he can take care of them. Just have to finish scraping up the rest of the deposit!

Moss - I think the reason everybody is recommending a grapple or even pallet forks is because there is no "secret method" of cokesing a rock into a bucket. Some times you can get under it and it will fall back into the bucket. Most times, you are out there using brute force to leverage it into the bucket.

Lord knows - its apparent a lot of us have tried.

I guess I don't understand why its so difficult. If the rock can fit in my bucket, I can get it in the bucket by just scooping under it and curling the bucket back, then lifting. If its too large, when I curl back, it falls out over the leading edge. If its too heavy, the rear tires lift off the ground. Maybe its something to do with the design of the loaders on most tractors? Mine's a tad different.

Oh, and I have pallet forks, too, which I use for stuff that won't fit in the bucket, but I left those out since the topic was buckets.

A big buddy could rest his foot on it to prevent it from sliding.

If you have both rocks and snow you should have two tractors. One with a snowplow blade, the other with a loader. Plow on one side of the rock, loader on the other. Push.

Some of you guys misinterpreted the BIG ROCKS I was referring to. The big monsters aren't really much of a problem. I meant those ugly 70 to 400 lb sort. Those are the ones I end up chasing around. The big problem around here with the "take a little dirt" is simple. The dirt is very little and the brother of that big rock is right there with his friends and the bucket skips right off. I don't want to use my tooth bar either just for that reason. I save that for brush and small trees

How does that "pusher" fare in the unloading process?
