how do you get a tractor unstuck?

I had my new bx24 less than 2 hrs. before i managed to get it stuck! I was aware of the differential lock, but it didn't matter. I guess there are some wet places a bx just shouldn't go. Oh well..I backed my SUV up to the stuck tractor , at a safe distance, I thought. And managed to get the SUV stuck trying to pull out my tractor!! Having 2 brand new vehicles stuck in my back yard was humilating to say the least. Not one to give up easily, i went to TSC and got some more tow rope and a 4000 lb. comealong. So anchoring the comealong to my stuck SUv, i managed to winch my tractor out a little at a time. I then moved my tractor to the front of my Suv, attached the comealong to the tractor hitch,set the parking brake, and winched my Suv out. All together, an all day event, and some sore arms to boot!!!
How would you guys do this if it happenned to you? It was too embarassing to get a neighbor to help, at least for me.

Yup I also use Armstrong winch when all 4 tire spin w/no motion forward or backward,kinda gives whole new meaning of...I think I can...I think I can...I think I can.

There been times that down pressure from the bucket to lift the frontend,than slide a plank under front tire to the rear tire,than slowly let the tractor crawl out.

If your BX has a FEL you can curl the bucket to walk your way out. I have never had to do this but it seems like my neighbors have to do this on a weekly basis. They own a JD2210 with turf tires and their land is a very wet waterway. I think their next tractor is going to have AG tires

I got seriously stuck in the BX24 yesterday in a deep rut. I think I was listing about 30 degrees. The only thing that saved me was the fact that I had the backhoe attached, and not the box blade. I was able to drop a stablilzer to right the ship, then use the backhoe to lift the tractor out of the rut and back onto level ground.
Maybe a Kobelco excavator would have been a better purchase for fixing old logging ruts

I once mired a B21 to its belly pan, by myself, in an area where I couldn't get my truck. It took an intricate combination of pushing with the BH, pulling with the FEL and stepping on the hydro pedal all at the same time to eventually get out.

Man, I'll remember that FEL trick the next time. I tried to just dead lift the tractor with the FEL, but it would not lift the front end.But i bet that crawl trick will work. I had a middle buster on, so i couldn't use the BH. That beer sure tasted good after getting everything out....

Don't be embarassed to ask for help.Almost everyone has been stuck if they do anything at all with their tractor.

Experience is the best remedy for getting unstuck. When my BX23 was relatively new I got it stuck in a hole. Now I look at where I was at and just laugh with some degree of embarrassment.

Now having said this, I will undoubtedly get my tractor stuck tomorrow! Suffice it to say that I've learned (but still have alot to learn) how to use the outriggers, hoe, and FEL to extricate myself. Sometimes, though, there is just no substitute for a tow strap. I do have a HiLift jack now also.
