I'll try to keep this short.
Decided to start up the tractor today and run the disc over the garden sense the tractor had not been run in a couple of months due to winter.
heres what happened. tractor was run with no water in radiator/motor for no more then 10 min temp never got over normal running temp on guage "due to freeze plug popping out sometime this winter" the motor had a sudden loss of power then died also blow a puff of smoke out of PCV "i think anyway" it's the valve on top of the valve cover with a hose running off of it down to the below the starter. it also blew some oil out from around the valve cover gasket.
I was able to restart the motor and it came up to rpm and sound fine and ran fine. but it is still blowing gray smoke from the PCV tube. I pulled the valve cover all looked ok.
what do I need to do next? I know the first thing I need to do is replace the freeze plug. Is it ok to reuse the same freeze plug?
thanks for any input/help
