How are GOOD trailers wired?

same on the connector.. just protect it from attracting dirt by using a good connector with well fitting cover..

Tractor supply sells the basic four wire plug in like a 15-20' length at a reasonable price. Also anywhere the wire passes through anything such as a metal hole put some good silicone around the wires, It will eliminate movement and also waterproof it.

Also it is money well spent on the oval lights as they are weatherproof and if they get busted you just unplug it and pop in a new one (with no tools)

i like to use some rubber fuel line.. OR a correct grommet when passing cables thru metal flanges or holes.

You can buy the correct stuff, it's called dielectric grease, at most auto parts stores. It's a little less messy than regular grease and clear (at least the stuff I have) and is more like a petroleum jelly. But it's well worth putting some in every light socket.

sure you can.. and my tube is almost never around when i need it.. but vasolene or chassie grease is always available...
