Received the AstraZeneca jab this early afternoon... in at 1240, yet another form to fill in, a quick prick (and I got a lollie for being such a good boy!), a ten minute wait (in case there was any adverse reaction, no different procedure than when I get a flu shot) and on my way by 1300.

No reaction so far. Anything that might be associated with it is probably 'in my head' as I've been actively looking for something to happen.

Second jab already scheduled in 12 weeks.

Easy peasy.

That was news from about 3 weeks ago from Europe. It has since been found to be wrong.

Says March 29th on the link. Yesterday.
My niece is a nurse. She works with Covid patients everyday since last summer. She just got vaccinated a few weeks ago. Never got Covid. Used common sense methods to avoid the virus. She has a husband and 3 year old and a 1 year old at home to worry about.
Im not anti vax, I just think it’s smart to question it. I bet you’ll see more side affects after the months roll on. From what I read, the J & J looks like it might be the best option.

smokers are prioritized. They spend the better part of 20-40 years giving themselves lung cancer, emphysema, COPD and to those around them just being generally annoying, smelly, littering and now they are prioritized.

All the hospital Docs at my facility received Pfizer, staff mostly Moderna and some neighbors Johnson and Johnson one and done.

The idea as presented is the vaccine is to prevent ICU stay and or deaths... it was not presented to us as a cure all or a shield preventing any illness.

So far those closest to me with Covid are University students on Athletic scholarships and for the most part did not know they had it. Symptoms mild like runny nose.

Those that have died with a nexus to me are elderly family members of friends and colleagues... including parents of docs and staff...

That said life is returning... rush hour traffic, people out and about for now.

It's good to be able to discuss the many sides of the issue and right now it remains a choice...

Many have vaccinated for loved ones...

Right or wrong... When I saw just about every Doc I work with sit down and roll up their sleeve it really was we are all in this together...

I trust my doctor. He's mid 30's. I asked him if he was getting vaccinated, and if he'd have his children vaccinated. He said yes he already got vaccinated and will get his kids vaccinated as soon as it's available to them. Good enough for me.

We had the same dilemma when they came out with the HPV vaccine. Seemed new to us and didn't want our kids being guinea pigs. Asked the pediatrician if he'd have his kids vaccinated with it. He said he already did. So again, we trusted our doctor.

My mom and I trusted my moms doctor, too. He was in his 60’s, so much more experience.
He told her she had nothing wrong with her when she complained about back pain on 1/14.
Dead 11 months later 12/14 from cancer in the spinal cord.
Suffered horribly.
