Houseboat Roof

Yesterday family and mates helped me put the roof on the houseboat. It took all day and this morning i am a little sore and sorry (getting old as they say).
I posted a question a week or so back looking for ideas on how to do this. Well this is how we did it, it was as easy as ABC in the end. Just as a point of interest the panels are glued down with a bonding product that has neoprene rubber in it. (Fuller brand, fulaprene 303)about 22 tubes and silicone was used in the joints, about 15 tubes.

Interesting mechanism for getting the pannels up there. Are the pannels a sandwitch or are they uniform? They look sort of like the pannels they use for sheathing Timberframes.

Same panels they use for cool rooms polystyrene with a thin steel sheet either side

How much do those panels weigh and are you going to cover them with something?

Each panel weighs about 200lb and no they won't be covered, the edges will be capped and sealed and a another bead of silicone applyed over the joints.

An amazing project. What kind of motor(s) to do you plan to mount to it?

What's the length/width of it? The pic of it sitting next to your house makes it appear HUGE.
