hour meter

I noticed that my hour meter has quit working on my 755. I am assuming the only way to fix it is replace the tach. Does anyone know what a new tach runs for them. It appears they built the tractor around it.

The hour meter and tachometer are one unit and not that expensive. It
has been a few years, but it may have been only about $60. Check JDParts
for a ballpark #. I sure wish later JDs has such reasonable hour meter
guages....

I took one of my failed 955 meters apart and I noticed there is a plastic worm
gear that easily strips out. Tach was still good. Note that you can add
an electric hour meter for under $20, too.

It could be the cable, too, if you have not checked it. I have a couple of
new 955 cables here, if you need one.
