Hour meter stopped

Some people would see the hour meter stopping on their tractor as a good thing. I am pretty religious about my maintenance so I like to know when things are due. Unfortunately, my 2005 DX 33 is stuck in 799.9 hours. If I take the panel apart, can I get to it to see why it stopped, or is it time for a new panel?

Most likely cause of a non functioning hour meter is the cable, but I am not familiar with your model so this is just a guess.

If it's a digital LCD, then it could be a broken or loose wire. If it's mechanical (like a car speedometer) then it could be a broken or disconnected cable. Worse case scenario, the hour meter itself has gone bad. If it was mine, I would certainly take a look inside.
