Hose size?

I am in the process of buying a Woods BH80X backhoe for my CT230 that I will run off my rear remotes and I am not sure what size (dia) of hose I need. I was looking on Agrisupply and they have 1/2" and 3/8" hose. Here is a link to an example of both. Which one do I need or will neither one work? I am not sure what it means by 2 wire hydraulic hose.

60 LONG X 1/2 HYDRAULIC HOSE W/ONE SWI - Agri Supply

42 LONG X 3/8 HYDRAULIC HOSE W/ONE SWI - Agri Supply

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I dout either will work to small i would say 5/8 or 3/4 but i may be wrong. the 2 wire is just the strenght of the hose which a 2 wire brade would be a strong hyd hose. Hope that helps.

Hose size is determined by the GPM rating, His machine is rated for 7.9 GPM so 5/8 or 3/4 is WAY overkill! Add to that he is running it from the rear remotes.


You will only need 3/8" hose, but 1/2" would be just a little better. 2 wire 4000 PSI rated hose is what you want.

The hoses on my Kioti CK30hst going to a Kioti KB2375, 7.5 foot bh, and similar to a CT230, are 1/2 inch.

We use 1/2
If you are going to have hoses made you will need a male 3/8 NPT on one side and a male #8 o-ring boss on the other side.
4-5' of hose is sufficiant.
