I received the horn kit I ordered on Tuesday. It came with the foot switch, harness and horn. Should I use a relay or should I just add an inline fuse? The horn kit is for a golf cart. How big of a fuse (relay) should I use?

How many amps does the horn suck? If the horn sucks 15 amps, then get a 30 amp relay. That is the way i would do it, but that being said someone will tell me I am wrong, even though no one has answered your post up until now.

It can't suck to many amps, looks like 18 gauge wire. Should I put an inline fuse to the relay? Is there any problems with putting the foot switch on the toe board?
PS Where are you in the north? Congrats on the 1K posts.

Inline fuse holders are cheap insurance so yes use one, I always use them now. Years ago I was wiring up a car stereo and didn't use one and guess what, loose wire touched the dash and pop goes the unit.
I'd assume that your kit doesn't take too much juice but read the specs to be sure and fuse it accordingly.
I have a friend from Elliott, he's in Winnipeg now but goes back about twice a year.
