I find no problem at all hooking up a cutter. ONly takes about 5 minutes to attach either one I have, but I do unattach them on level ground and if I take it off somewhere not level I just place a stone or two under one side to bring it up level. I am always able to spin the cutters shaft enough to lign up the PTO splines.
