I had a small grader like this for our campground. It was called a "Basic". A John Deere 3 cyl diesel engine. Worked like a champ. When I worked for highways dept, we called them asphalt graders.

That's really cool, I've never seen such a small commercial grader!

Looks like a front end loader is an option on the Basic grader.

Those look muuuuuch larger than the one OP built.

I am watching the current forklift build, which is a lot closer to something i would attempt than the entire DIY grader. I did almost buy my buddy's 1950s Galion grader a few months back for <2k, but it needed a lot and was still on the big side for how i would use it, believe it or not. I was spitballing the idea of building a loader onto it such as what's shown on the Basic website. Time will tell if i regret letting that one pass by.. im not likely to ever get as good of a deal again on one.
