Getting close to the second season with my BX 2370 and 50 hours I find I need all sorts of attachments and add-ons. I have the piranha tooth bar and belly armor already (wife's Christmas presents:)).

The bucket really is not that huge and to haul stuff around (firewood cut on the place is a prime example) I need a small trailer, probably single axle two wheel, that can preferably dump (by hand or mechanical means, does not need to be hydraulic). It should be no wider than my 54" MMM but a garden tractor trailer is just too small.

Would appreciate the forum's suggestions on that and a receiver hitch mount to go with it.

How about a hydraulic or PTO driven manure spreader. Just take the beater bar off and use the walking floor for unloading.

Can't help with the trailer, might check Northern or Gemplers. I just bought a receiver hitch from BxPanded, Redline Systems Inc. also has one.

If you want to take the trailer over rough, uneven ground you want a trailer where the load is carried low, between the wheels, like the MUTS, not high, above the wheels. See photo.

I use a 20" Handi Hitch on a BX2230. Very strong. When you remove the clevis shackle you have the hole for a pin hitch.

The best thing I've added to my BX is a front hitch. I bought a 4x6 dump/tilt trailer from craigs list for $400 and use it both around the house and also to pick up manure, mulch and gravel from the local ag supply.

This trailer is so well balanced that I can unhook it from my truck spin it around and hook it up to my BX front hitch, loaded. It's a convenience that I would suggest to look for. Mine is a store bought trailer built in '85, 12 ga steel body, removable rear gate, 14" tires, sides were made from old pallets.

I modified a HF trailer dump unloader (~$25 on sale) to fit the trailer width (use a hot knife) and now it's my 2nd favorite back saver next to the front hitch. The unloader make dumping mulch, soil, etc much easier. And pushing a trailer is much easier if you have trees around and need to dump a load in a specific spot as well.

I've got the HF 4' x 8' trailer, which I got on sale for around $230 a few years ago, and I put about the same amount into deck and sides and ramp. I use it for many things, hauling wood is one. But, I just recently saw one of these for sale, an assembled kit, new, for $150 on Craig's List, and almost bought it just for wood. The problem is small tires, which don't have much flotation on soft ground when you have a half ton of wood in the trailer... I was going to finish it like my other little trailer, but decided to keep looking for an off-road only trailer.

It's an Adirondack style lean-to. Basically a shed with an overhang, all local Hemlock post and beam construction. Floor and back wall are spaced for air flow. Thanks!

Consider the trailer width and your clearances, especially in turns.

I'm gathering materials for a BX trailer. but it needs to be no wider that the tractor. I have several places with only 2-3 inches clearance on each side.

I have a 4x8 highway trailer that can go on only a few of my tractor trails, and a little garden tractor trailer too small to be of much use.

Yes this is my situation exactly. I have a 4'x8' single axle trailer already. That is too big and the tires are for hard surfaces not my field trails.

Leejohn's above is about right - if he would just make another and sell it to me for $500!!! I could use some kind of hand crank with cable just like boat trailers for the dump to avoid the cost and complexity of hydraulics but the small size with bigger tires looks like a must have.

I'll have a look at the links everyone's posted and the referenced threads below.

thanks everyone and if there's any more ideas keep 'em coming.

he is the guy who manufactures the King Kutter XB trailer and sells the equivalent for less.

There is also the ATV Wagon trailers which are reasonable on eBay. (ABI trailer is the same trailer also but the eBay deal is still best)
