Greetings - - The "plastic" ball-bushing that locates my gearshift disintegrated. Finding a replacement is a challenge. It's 1 1/4" in diameter (close) with a 9/16" hole to slip onto the shaft and a 5mm hole for the locator pin. Any one run across this before. "They" say it's the same tractor as the MF1030 and Deutz-Allis5230. Any body got any info for me?

Try Eugene's suggestion first then maybe the local MF dealer. Same thing happened to my E2304 about 3 yrs ago and I found one at the dealer. Tell them it's for a MF1030. The only problem I had was installing it. You have to disassemble the gear shift assembly to slide the new bushing on and just couldn't figure out how to do that. I ended up splitting one side of the bushing and sliding it on the gearshift.

The balls are no longer available from Agco. I'm in the process of making some.
