I need to replace the driver right side rear tie rod on my E2304. After separating the tie rod for the steering linkage, I didn't see a nut or any evidence that the tie rod itself was screwed onto the steering rod that runs to the front. Rather, it appears to be welded onto the rear end of the steering rod. However, I did notice an adjusting nut on the oppositve end of the connecting rod for the front tie rod.
To keep from breaking the rear tie rod by trying the unscrew it in a vise, I wanted to check to see if someone has removed either of the the rear tie rods on their 2304. The rear tie rod on the other side appears identical with no sign of threads where it connects to the steering rod.
If the rear tie rod is screwed onto the connectiong rod, does the driver right side read tie rod have left or right-hand threads?
