HEY FOLKS;

I HATE BEING THE NEW KID ON THE BLOCK BUT IT'S ONLY ONCE......I TOO AM LOOKING FOR A REALISTICALLY PRICED MOWER THAT CAN HANDLE

A COUPLE OF LONG HILLS OF APPROX. 25 - 30 DEGREES INCLINE. THE HUSQVARNA 322T LOOKS GOOD BUT I'M NOT SURE OF IT'S DURABILITY. I'VE

ALSO LOOKED AT STEINER AND VENTRAC BUT I DON'T WANT TO TAKE OUT A MORTGAGE TO CUT MY GRASS AND PROBABLY SNOBLOW THE DRIVEWAY.

ANY SUGGESTIONS? I'D LIKE TO STAY AROUND 5 - 6 THOUSAND DOLLARS. THANKYOU FOR LISTENING.

BX Kubota... 4wd with fluid in rear tires. Go up and down slopes. Not across!

Deere x540 or used older model that has a locking rear differential. Then put on some ag tires.

The Husky 322T is a good unit by most accounts.

Whatever you get will have to be 4 WD and likely need R1 type tires to traverse a 30 degree slope and then only up and down. No 2 WD mower is going to go up more than 18 -20 slope and even then, will need a running start on dry grass.
I think a used BX is going to be your cheapest route and even that isn't going to be cheap and not likely to find one within your budget . At least you can use it for other tasks if you get one with an FEL on it.

I've been looking too, and the Husqvarna R322T has been looking better and better, the more I look.
The least expensive new 4wd Kubota I found, for snowblowing and mowing has been the GR2120.
The R322T with snowblower and mower is about half the price of the equally equipped Gr2120.
The R322T looks like it would be more fun to operate too.
Have been searching for a cab for the R322T also, but so far it looks like none are available.
Good luck

I have a Kubota F2100 that is 25 years old and has about 1900 hours. At my work place they had two of them and they had about 6000 hrs on them when they were traded. My machine has been terrific and used are in your price range. It is a hydrostatic transmission and plows snow in the winter like you wouldn't believe. It climbs my 27 % hill for mowing either going up or down. It is 4 wd and has been a terrific mower. It came with a 5 foot mower and a 6 foot mower was available. Normally I wouldn't suggest such an old machine but I think mine will last another 35 years although I probably won't be there to see it.

As said above.Get the BX. Dont mow with loader on. Load tires.

I use a 1996 TORO Groundsmaster 325D 4WD, with a 6' deck.

Also have an 88 inch TriFlex deck, for it.

I paid $5200 for it in 2009 with a 6' Recycler deck, that I use on the lawn.

There are a lot of older commercial out front deck mowers on eBay. That is where I found the 7' 4" TriFlex deck.
