New to the forum, and appreciate all the informative posts I've read. Great site, excellent info. Maybe some of you guys can help me out.
I recently purchased a MT 180 HD with a KMW FEL, 850 hrs. Overall the tractor in nice shape. Body metal is good, engine runs excellent and the hydro seems solid. No visible oil leaks and the loader is straight. But...when the Hi Lo trans is in Hi and under load there is a definite rhythmic knock. Not extremely loud but noticeable. I bought it knowing it was there, but figured for the price I'd fix it. No problem or noise in low range. I'm guessing the previous owner might not have engaged it fully in hi range and chipped a tooth.
Has anybody had a similar problem?
I am also looking for a good parts supplier.
Would appreciate any comments about the tractor in general.
