Hi everyone from Manitoba Canada, I came across TractorByNet by accident and am enjoying it.
Lots of wonderful posts, information etc.
I personally find it a little hard to talk about myself, I'd rather hear from all of you.
Just the same you probably would like to know a little bit about myself,
I haven't been able to keep employment for most of my life because of my situation (self employment)
I've owned a few businesses, one of them being designing and manufacturing equipment that I'm planning on getting back into.
That's about all I'l say at this time, but I do hope to hear from all of you shortly (yes anyone from Manitoba as well)
Thanks
Jake

:welcome:
Lots of people here with all kinds of experience...have fun reading and catching up.
I enjoyed seeing the photo of your pickups...goldies for sure.
Your expertise designing and manufacturing equipment will make you right at home here...and your input valuable...looking forward to it.

Hi Jake glad to have you onboard.

Been self-employed most of my life as well. Grew up in the HVAC industry and also had a great police-related Internet business before the dot.com bubble busted. But hey it was wild and the family wouldn't have wanted to miss the ride. I have always found that if one is self-employed it means you better have lots of cash in your pocket especially since the credit crunch cause the banks just have a blank stare if you need bucks for expansion. **** the last service van we purchased was paid for in cash because we got tired of jumping through the hoops.

How have your experiences been in Canada?

Hi Mike Thanks, glad to have found this sight.
Yes the blank stare, what gets me is these guys are in the money “business” but haven’t got a clue about business and sometimes I wonder how much they even know about money.
The other thing, if I was employed by someone other then myself I’d walk into our banks and be back out a short time later so I could build the shop that I wouldn’t have a clue what I wanted to do with it.

Yes I'm thinking it's the same in Canada
