Oops, should read FORK MOD.

Here is a little something I whipped up for some light hauling. I almost just bought a carryall at Coastal for $125, but came up with this using some scrap I had. I might want to add additional support with longer pins if I think I want to try and pick up some substantial weight, but mostly this is for a box or platform for light items and hauling some lumber from my bandmill. The forks will fold up to a vertical position, a pin could be added from the rear to lock them down.Let me know if you think of any additional mods.

Very clever!! And nicely done as well. Good use of a minimum of materials. :D

Very nice work, one of the best I've seen here. Add the pins for fold up and I'll tip my hat to you.

Definitely a job well done! You've already got me going through my scrap pile. Thanks for the idea.

That is just plain nice. After seeing those welds I need to go back to drilling and bolting stuff together.

Scrout,

Nice work. Most of the mods here are evolutionary, yours is revolutionary! Expect to see future variations. Simplicity is brilliance.

Very Nice job on this.
I got to do this.
What size Bolts did you use for the pins?

Man this is awesome! I have a set of titan clamp on forks that I don't use much and have been thinking of ways to use them on my quick hitch. This idea of using the attachment points never ever crossed my mind. Brilliant!

For as much as I have used my pallet forks thie would have done the job for a lot less money. I would add a small brace to keep the back of the rectangular tubing from collapsing under a heavier load but other than that what a great idea.

I agree with the rest, pretty cool idea and nice fab skills. I haven't got a quick hitch but the way I have been changing equipment on the 3pt lately, I think I might invest in one and this will come in real handy. I wonder how much weight it could handle. I was thinking about going the carry all route for firewood hauling but this would be a lot more versitile. Great job

Clever idea thanks now I gotta go to the scrap yard lol!

Heck, I have "real" pallet forks for the FEL, and I think I'll do up something similar, at least in the form of an ersatz carry-all.

It's always the simplest ideas that are the hardest to come up with. These are Great
