Thanks for the images, I have been considering the 2720. I heard of a redesign for the seat, any additional info?
What do all you experienced tractor guys think about the bump in HP and torque? do you think it will resolve the limitation of mostly mowing in low issue?
Thanks

I was critical of JD for developing the 2720 with only a 2 range Hydro. I may have to eat my words...

I noted on the JD website that the 2720 has the same 100cu.in. engine that is used in the 3320!! (Unless it's an error...)

If that's the case --- you could likely mow all day long in HIGH range with a 4-5' mower!!!

Now... the option of a 3pt. shoulder harness and seat belt might be required to keep your butt locked into the seat at those speeds but you probably won't run out of black smoke from the engine!

I wonder if JD will use the newly designed draft arms on the latest crop of 2520's?

How about retrofitting the current owner's of 2520's with the newly designed 3pt. arms?

I know a couple of 2520 owner's that would be just "tickled pink" if they could divest themselves of those "chafing and rubbing" nuisances!

Those 3 pt arms worry me... You'd need an awful strong bungee to hold them together and keep'em from swaying when you pick up a load. I'm not sure I could stretch one out enough to hold...

I also like the beefed up alternator. I could really run some bells and whistles w/ that one. Next accessory: A JD Dash mount CD/SAT Radio player w/ "in-Rops" hi-amp speakers......to spread the goodness of Bluegrass to my deprived Colorado-born neighbors.

There was I think 4 new 2520s next to the 2720, and the 2520s had the old style arms on. I would guess Deere wont change the 2520s until maybe the next model year.

Does the new 2720 feature the new design draft arms?
