This Spring I purchased a new finish mower. I went to several local implement dealers to check out several different models. I was bombarded with statements like, What is a Yanmar, you don't want a finish mower with your fences and trees, your tractor doesn't have enough power, you need to look at a cheaper import. No one had a mower in stock and would have to be ordered. Long story short I purchased a 5' King Kutter from TSC and couldn't be happier. Now I'm the same position looking for a FEL. I have pretty much decided on a Koyker loader based on research extracted from the web. After using Koyker's dealer locator I found several dealers in my area. I contacted the dealers closest to me. I called the dealers that did not have websites and emailed the rest. I asked for a price quote and explained exactly what I wanted. This was done before Thanksgiving and as of today, not one single responce. If I want to put a $3000 FEL on a $4000 tractor that's my decision. Has anyone else had these troubles? I have purchased several things from TSC because they don't ask me what I'm going to do with a finish mower, a grader blade, or a dirt scoop. Now I'm considering buying a larger Yanmar with a FEL and ROPS already installed. A YM2002D is my dream machine.

Thanks for letting me vent...Dan

I think that a lot of the dealers on Koyker's website are no longer dealers. I get a lot of calls exactly like yours. I do have 1 kit left that will fit a 1401 with slight modification for $1,599.

Read the post...Not Cool!!! I've been keeping a close eye on my stuff since. Had great experiences with Hoye, enjoy doing business with them. Trying to keep the big stuff local for prompt service and support. Shipping is a big expense too. To have it go to WA, TX, or OH before it gets to WI doesn't make sense. Maybe I just solved my problem. As far as the 2002, 4X4's are more fun.

Thanks...Dan

Back when i was looking at the Koyker loaders, i found a couple local guys on Koykers dealer locator. After talking to the local "dealers", i decided i would not be buying one from them. I would highly recommend purchasing a loader from one of the dealers that posts here. They know what they are talking about, and i found them to be very fair on price. Chances are the loader would be drop shipped right to you anyway..... so it would be no different than it being shipped to your local dealer. Do the install yourself, its not terribly difficult...... many members here have done their own installs.

You didn't mention what model of tractor you have. I have several 80 Koykers in stock & am located in northern Illinois or I can have a larger loader shipped direct from the factory in South Dakota. I've been getting some fairly reasonable freight rates lately.

I have a loader in stock, but would need to order the mounting vrackets. I have tillers also.
