Tractor
Bobcat ct225 and Bad Boy zero turn
Well I scored a new (but slightly weathered) 7tb. Backhoe. Only problem is it did not come with a instruction / assembly manual and I can't make heads or tails out of the 2 bags of bolts that came with it. So now I have to weight until bobcat can locate one unless I can determine what bolt goes where. Man there's a lot of bolts in those bags. It's strange because the hoe is all assembled I just have to install subframe.

Initially, it looks like the subframe is missing. There should be a section about 8 feet long that extends backwards behind the seat and hooks to "claws" attached to your tractor frame. That's how it leverages. Also, from memory, your dipper looks different than mine. I wonder if that's the old style?

It could be an older style I'm not sure how to tell I know it's been sitting around quite a while. Yeah I think I can kind of tell what goes where the problem is the bolts. A lot of the bolts are different sizes and different threads and they are supposed to be threaded directly into the tractor for the brackets of the subframe. The two rear brackets alone require six bolts each and they are of three different sizes I have figured out four of the six as far as size but I've not sure on the length, the remaining two are still a mystery I've tried every bolt in the box and none of them seem to fit.

This sounds like a job for the local dealer to finish up.

I think they would still need a manual. I have read older posts about dealers leaving out the four bolts (2 on each rear bracket) that I am having a question about on dealer installs.

Tman. If your BH is serial number AE3H00101 & above, PM me your email address and I'll send you the 7TB Operation and Maintenance Manual.

My dealer mis-installed mine. I had them get me the correct parts and just fixed the hack job myself.

Thanks 7.62mm. I'll check when I get home I'm heading to hardware store to try to get proper bolts

It looks like yours is the latest version. I think you need the subframe kit #7151804. The manual has part numbers of what is in the kit too...

There is no subframe item number all they have is a cardboard box full of parts and bolts and fasteners. It looks like what came directly from the factory though all strapped to the same pallet as the backhoe in subframe. I believe it is the correct kit. Here is a picture of the two bolts that are the Mistry. Tried every bolt in the packages none fit. went to hardware store to get some turns out 13 mm fine thread is what I think it is and I believe that is a odd size. So I'm beginning to think only four bolts per bracket is required seems like that would be sufficient.

Just sent you a large file. I think it will help.

I forgot to ask (and you probably checked)...did you check the plastic tube by the seat? My manual was in there...I made a copy so I could have one on the hoe and in the house. Thus why I have a soft copy.

I ordered mine new and it took about 6 months for it to arrive in June 2013. Rhino makes yours and mine. It is a near clone of the 75C model. My serial number is pretty close to yours...I don't think too many were made

My dealer didn't install several bolts, including 2 each on those rear hanger brackets. Each rear bracket requires, per the manual, 6 bolts (2 each of 3 sizes).

It kinda sounds like the Install Kit is missing the subframe.

Let us know how it works out.

Well I just called the bobcat dealer they got my manual for me and was going to ship it but I went to install the bucket and it is the wrong size it won't fit. I guess the bucket they gave me was for a 6tb and they sold me a 7 TB. So now he says he has the right bucket at his shop but he's two hours away

Well thanks again 7.62mm that manual is proving to be very helpful I read through the whole thing. It clears up a ton of the questions I was having. I do have the subframe I just don't think you could see in the picture. I asked my dealer about hydraulic hose bypass kits for the rear backhoe and he looked for 15 minutes couldn't find anything about it on the bobcat his bobcat site. Only thing he found was a service bulletin for a hose loop to connect the two remotes together that have detent in case it ever got bumped into detent to prevent damage.

tman,
Looks nice! When I read your first post, I was thinking this would be a summer long project. Three days later, boom! You're up and running.
Glad it all worked out.
FYI, I just got the bill for my new radiator installed, whew..

I think about your radiator every time I push brush into a pile mopops. Did u ever get your forks? They sure come in handy. I spent Saturday finishing the backhoe install in morning then I dug out 6 stumps. This tractor is awesome the only hard part was cleaning off all the mud at the end of the day we had lots of rain here.

Congrats on the installation and the stumps! If I could, I would play on the backhoe all day.

Still haven't got the forks. I did get the pto shaft for the brush hog worked out, and have been using it.
I managed to get three big brush piles made, edge feathering the fields.
Next addition will be box blade.
I'm not sure yet, that I need a backhoe. You may be changing my mind on that though.

MP - Need and want are hard to reconcile!

I picked up pallet forks from EA. They do come in handy. Next for me might be a finish mower. I have a 60" SQ160 Bush Hog for the rough stuff. Box Blade is on the list too.

I still haven't mastered the backhoe attach/detach process. I try to do it when no one is looking!

Enjoy the CTs.
