But the sun today melted most of it off and the roads were clear, except a little damp in places, when we came back home.
Bird, I'm so glad you and Margaret came through your "adventure" unscathed. I saw so many people who were not as lucky that I just didn't even consider going out and taking a chance.
All the places I plowed on the road and our driveway melted down to the gravel before the end of the day yesterday, but other places are still covered in 4"+ of snow. I'm looking at my thermometer right now and it is 13.6 degrees F. That's the coldest day we have had this season. That means any water anywhere on the road surface is a glaze of ice. We will wait until it warms up to the mid-30s before we even consider driving today.
