I know this isn't a true 'tractor' question, but I have a sprayer and I have planted a decent size sunflower field a few weeks ago and I would like to add a post emergent herbicide to the field. In doing some research, I have come across "poast plus" as the best herbicide that will do the job. Anyone have any experience with this or other post emergents? Thanks

I always used clearfield. But check your seed first.

Poast + will get most grass. If you planted clearfield seed, Newpath is registered in some states. Google University of Arkansas MP44 for a lot of info on crops and vegetable herbicide.

I don't believe my seeds were "clearfield". They were
Just the regular variety sunflower seed for doves etc. I will probably try poast plus.

i sprayed many gallons of poast plus on cotton.it works real good on grass.

I know nothing about sunflowers.

Haven't used Poast+, but have heard fairly good stuff about it. However, looking at an online label, I don't see sunflowers listed????? I do see references to it being used for weed control on other sites I guess.

For just grass control, Select is a great grass killer, and the label mentions sunflowers.

I really don't know much at all here, but be careful of on-line advice for electrical, medical, and herbicide advice...... :)
