HELP!!

Need help figuring out how to pull apart front hydrologic suspension piston on a JD 8320. Piston part # RE 186113. Got it off the tractor but havent seen one like this before because there is no exterior snap ring so im lost other than beat it apart. TIA

Maybe someone will help you. I looked at cylinder schematics at JDparts.com and don't have a clue how to disassemble it.
