HI all,
I have these shields on a couple brush hogs, Woods and JD, I need to get some replacement parts such as the white locking ring. The ring is the one with three tabs that go into the openings on the large part of the cover then it rotates to lock in place then a lock screw.
I have searched and for some reason can't seem to find this. I found one company but they are in Germany!

First picture is the one off of my Woods cutter, second is a JD.
Thanks for any assistance pointing me in the right direction!

Ok, so far I found a place that might have the white "bearing" collar but they are $30 each.
The whole shield is almost $200!

I did get the manual for the Woods BB60 and found a part number for the basic PTO shaft and found a place on line that has it for $150.
Considering a new u-joint is $55 I ordered a new shaft.
I'll see about finding a less expensive u-joint for the current shaft.
I may take one of the slip joint shafts off one of my JD cutters to use.

Also found a universal type shield on Amazon for about $65 that seems to have good reviews. Might try one to see how they are.

Sorry, I don't have any help to offer. But I am watching this thread closely because I am missing the shield on my TSC auger shaft and haven't figured out yet how to replace it.

I bought PTO shields for my King Kutter bush hop & finish mower from Agri-supply on line. The shields were complete & they had several options to choose from. Hope this helps.

I looked at a lot of shields on line and most were very expensive. The one I posted above was about as cheap as I found.
I was able to get the whole Woods shaft complete for $150.
U-joints were also $50 each I think and were getting a little loose.
For a 5 foot Brush Bull I decided a new shaft was the best choice. I'll pull U-joints from the old shaft and try to match locally with some more cost effective ones!

Resurrecting this thread as it relates to a problem I'm having. I got a replacement PTO shaft series 6 and the shield on the inside part is not connected to the shaft cover or the collar. The other end is fine.

The instructions are useless.

Any suggestions on how to get the shield to connect to the collar? I see the tabs, but I'm having trouble getting them on far enough to lock in place.

The replacement shields are almost as much as the complete shaft.
