Loader Help with Loader "float" position

I am rookie with a Kubota L3800 trying to plow snow and can't figure out how to get the loader in the float position? The manual shows two forward arrows for float.

Push the loader joystick all the way forward. That will put it in float position.

I must be missing something. I don't feel a detent and I just lift the tractor when I push it all the way forward.

If your loader has a 'float' position, most all do... you just need to push it farther forward than what you are doing now.

You are not pushing it far enough, there will be some resistance, I use it on all three of our Kubotas; really handy.

Some have a pretty severe detent that takes a hard shove. Put your hand on it and shove it like youre throwing a punch. The valve on our Woods loader is that way.

How much snow did you get?

Also, you can "practice" putting your loader in float with the engine off, just to get the feel of it snapping in place. (this is for new members, mostly.)
