Ran a new bush hog with no oil in the gearbox and of course it locked up. Ordered a new gearbox and a couple guys in our shop swapped it out. For some reason they disassembled the motor, not sure why. Now it spins in the wrong direction at full torque and it will spin but has no power in the right direction. They have no idea what they may have changed. Can someone help me?
Help, replace gearbox on skid loader bushhog now it runs backwards.

Maybe swap hoses. Maybe they swapped hoses.

Is this on a skiddy out front? Or a rear mount?

Agree with Roustabout above.....try swapping the hoses. If the connections are different, might have to swap the connections on the mower side.

Yup, that was my question about hi-flow or not. Swap the quick connects on the implement side and see what happens.

My brush hog cuts rotating either direction. The the blades are sharpened on both edges. I thought all skid steer brush hogs were made this way.

You hooked the hoses up backwards. No big deal, just swap them
Swapped hoses and all it does is operate the opposite direction same symptoms. This one is single direction. The blades are only sharp on one side. I think it is a check valve at the motor that was reassembled wrong. This is a standard duty front mount hydraulic bush hog. Any other suggestions?
