help pricing L3540HST

Hi Everyone,
I found this forum while trying to find info on Kubotas. Long story short: My dad recently and unexpectedly passed away leaving me with all his stuff. He was the owner of a Kubota and loved the thing (as I'm sure you can appreciate). Although I think it is an awesome piece of equipment, I have no use for it and don't want to see it rot (he would roll over in his grave). The right thing for me to do is sell it. My problem is that I know next to nothing about tractors and don't want to be ripped off in the process of. I need to figure out a fair price. Any info/advice is greatly appreciated. I have pictures if that helps.

this is what I know:
it is a L3540hst
It has 384 working hours
It has a York rake attachment, a skid winch attachment, and a "groundbreaker" backhoe/thumb on one side and the front bucket on the other.
He bought it new in 2007

What other info is needed when pricing these?

Condolences for your loss. One option you have is to contact your local Kubota Dealer and see if they will sell it via consignment. I just sold an RTV that way within a couple of days, no fuss just stopped in and picked up a check. My dealer's commission was 15%. The dealer should be able to come up with a sales price.

Will let someone else chime in on what a good package price if you sell it yourself.

Sorry for your loss. Go ahead and post some pictures..You should get several opinions. My first thought is 20,000 or more. On the Woods backhoe, which model? and is the thumb mechanical or hydraulic? This is an awful nice machine. Sure you don't have any use for it?

We have a very good Kubota dealership, family owned since the 50's that will do consignments or even referrals of potential buyers, so I would go that route.

You can also check with tractor house to see current prices. That is a very nice setup and you will have no shortage of potential buyers. We have even had TBN members buy from each other.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine a few years ago and still miss him very much.
As a few have already mentioned, that's a really nice tractor with hardly any hours on it.
Some additional information for getting a fair price would be:
1) Tire type: Ag, turf, industrial. Loaded with ballast?
2) Front Loader: LA514 or LA724 (should say right on the laoder). Heavy duty bucket? Quick attach?
3) Any hydraulic remotes included?
4) Mid PTO included?

Lisa, it was already mentioned, but I will second the research opportunity that Tractorhouse.com offers. You could also do a seachtempest.com for your model tractor. Craig's lists from all over will come up. Remember, most ads are "asking" price and often items sell for a bit less. If you dad's tractor was stored indoors, and he kept it clean, that's a bonus in terms of value.
He had a fine tractor, and one that will demand top price in the tractor world, I'd think. Sorry about you loss...

Sorry for your loss Lisa.

What you have there is a premium tractor with some expensive implements. I'd be drooling over a machine like that, but a fair price is out of my budget.

I noticed the same tractor with similar hours advertized on a dealer website for about $18K. This was for the tractor and frontend loader only. This at least gives a frame of reference. With a backhoe, winch and rake, I would expect a good starting point in the $25K range. And I would not entertain offers that were not in that ballpark.
