HELP NEEDED PRICING

I have some tools that i want to sell, but need help in figuruing the price. they are plumbing, pipefitter, type stuff. a REED PVC TUBING CUTTER 4" TO 6 5/8 " od , A RIDIG PIPE CUTTER 2"TO 4'" THESE 2 items were only used by me for one job. the other item is a RIDIG hand held motorized pipe threader, model 700 comes with reamer, pipe vise to help hold the unit, 4 dies 1" ,1 1/4" ,1 1/2 " and 2" this thing is practially brand new , don't think it was used more than 5 times. anybody got any idea what these are worth? if more info is needed please fell free to PM OR E MAIL ME. appreciate any help

I would try to remember what you paid for them or look up what a new one is selling for and price them at 75% of this number. If they are "practically brand new" as you state this should be a fair price. Remember you can always reduce the price to make a sale but it is tough to increase it, so start a little high to begin with. Good luck with your sale, wish I could use them. Hopefully someone reading your post will make you an offer.

Have you checked on E-Bay to see if anyone is selling stuff like that? That would give you some information.

My experiance with buying used tools at flea markets, is that they usually sell for about 50% of new, unless they are very sought after tools, such as Snap-On. I have also seen at auctions where tools will sell for more than the price of new. It depends more on who is looking for that tool at the time and how much they know about the cost. If you sell them on e bay, you will probably get the most possible. Do a search to learn how much previous sales have been..... as an example.... the "REED PVC TUBING CUTTER 4" TO 6 5/8" sold on eBay for the opening bid of $60. There doesn't seem to be much demand because of lack of bids.... auction.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

yep i figure the 2 pipe cutters should go for $50 or $60 each depends on whos looking at the time. the pipe threader as far as i can tell sell new for about $800.00 but would be tough to ship, very heavy!
