Help need info

I have a chance to get a shibaura sd2843t the guy says the motor is gone someone tried to put a kubota motor in it but the motor comes up 3in short any ideas if i could get a motor for it I can get the tractor for 300.00 do you think it is worth the time and trouble to fix thanks

you could part it out and make a little money .parts are high and hard to get for those tractors
